The Night

Veil of Dark Mists Drawn Across the Sky

Nyx was the youngest and only Daughter of Chaos, her mother was Gaia. She is the god and the personification of night, as a winged or chariot driving and powerful goddess who ruled the night sky, covering it in her dark misty veil. She was described as beautiful, one of the most stunning creations of her time. She is said to have gathered a rather large cult and be the mother or inventor of witchcraft.


Family Ties; Nyx' mother is Gaia and his father is Chaos. Nyx is married to her brother Erebus with whom she had 18 children, Including; Aether, Hemera, Charon, Moros, Ker, Thanatos, Hypnos, The Oneiroi, Momus, Geras, Oizys, Nemesis, Philotes, Apate, Eris, The Moirai, The Keres, and The Hesperides. Her brothers include Tartarus, Uranus, and Eros.

Tributes; Nyx's symbols include mist and wings. She has no symbolic animals however, she was sometimes sacrificed too in the form of a black-fleeced lamb.
