Nereus (Νηρευς)

Fish Bounty

Nereus is the god of fish from the sea, and in so, he seemed to resemble them. Having a long fish tale. He is depicted to have a wooden staff, and is said to be a shapeshifter, his voice is described as mystical and prophetic in its tone. As many have asked him for help or directions. Nereus is married to Doris, with whom he has had fifty daughters, the Nereid.


Family; Nereus mother was Gaia (Earth), and father was Pontus (Sea). His whole siblings include Ceto, Thaumas, Phorcys, and Eurybia. His wife is Doris, with whom he had his fifty Nereid daughters.

Tributes; His obvious symbol is a fish, representing that witch he cares after.
