Geras (Γηρας)

Roman Name: Senectus

Translation: Old Age

Personification of Old Age

Geras was resented by everyone, he didn't just represent old age, but the fear of aging painfully, and the fear of death. To reflect this fate that many must anticipate was a shrunken, weak, frail, and ugly looking man, who often used a stick to lean on. With his back arching his ways it shouldn't, it was a horrifying thought are any aging Greek.

One of the most famous depictions of him are of him and Hercules on a pot.


Family Ties; Geras' Mother and Father are Nyx and Erebus, with many siblings such as Aether, Hemera, Ker(es), Moros, Momus, Hypnos, Thanatos, The Oneiroi, Oizys, Nemesis, Philotes, Apate, Eris, The Moirai, and The Hesperides.


Tributes; Geras has no tributes, symbols or sacrifices as he was inevitable no-matter what you did. His only proof of symbolisms are in the pot, conversing with Hercules.
