Chaos (Χαος)

Translation: Gap

Literal Nothingness

Chaos was the name the Greeks gave to the empty space and nothingness that existed before anything. He was the literal embodiment of nothingness, like the before the Big Bang, and like it, when he deteriorated and employed, all the nothingness turned to life and Gaia was born. Many say that Chaos was the father of Gaia, and many say that she is just his other side to the same coin, as one, together.

Family Ties; Chaos had no parents as he was the first and was also nothing. He had one supposed daughter/wife/side who was Gaia, who then gave birth to many others, which would make him the alleged Grandfather/Father to them. But also said to be the reason that both Chronos (Old Father Time) and Ananke (Destiny) came into existence.

Tributes; None, Chaos had no religious practices in his name because he was never a true deity, but a name for being empty space.
