Goddess of Sea Monsters
Ceto is a goddess of sea-monsters, whales and large sharks. All of which are great in size or deadly animals of the water. The sea beasts she looks over where mostly her own children such as The She-Dragon (Ekhidna), The Hundred-Headed Serpent (Ladon), The One Eyed Graiai, The Gorgons, The Sailor-Devouring Crab (Skylla), The Shark (Lamia), and Trienos. Unlike many second generation primordial, who typically have very pale skin due to lack of nutrition, sunlight or other reasons, Ceto is described as tan with black wavy hair. She doesn't seem to like others who aren't already her friends or someone she protects over, and is typically cold to strangers. However, she did have a husband, who was her brother Phorcys, who was the god of the dangers of the deep sea itself.
Family Ties; Ceto is the daughter of Gaia (Earth) and Pontos (Sea). Her brother/husband is Phorcys. She had many half siblings, from both parents' sides. However her whole siblings include Phorkos (Phorcus), Thaumas, Nereus, and Eurybia. She had many children with her husband, Ekhidna, Ladon, Graiai, The Gorgons, Skylla, Lamia, and Trienos.
Tributes; Because she was the goddess of sea monsters, she wasn't very well worshiped. Only those who did incredibly long journeys out to sea ever asked for her mercy, and most of them never lived to tell the tale.
