Styx (Στυξ)

Translation: Hatred

The River Styx

Styx is the name given to the river goddess of the underworld, who is also the personification of hatred. She had a strong bond with Zeus and brought herself and her children to fight alongside him in the Titan War, as a thank you Zeus made an agent of oaths which bound the Gods.


Family; Styx is one of the many Oceanid daughters of Oceanus and Tethys. She had four children with Pallas, they are Nike, Zelos, Kratos, and Bia.

Tributes; She is symbolized through hatred and the river that is just outside the underworld.
