Nymph of Mount Kyllene

Plenione is another Oceanides daughter, who was the nymph of the Mountain Kyllene which resides in the south of Greece. She married Atlas, the holder of the sky's. She is also a sheep nymph, thus plenty from her name is to indicate the growing flocks of sheep in Greece.


Family; Plenione is one of the 3,000 Oceanides daughters of Oceanus and Tethys. She married Atlas, and her grandson is Hermes, the messenger god.
