Goddess of Spring and Queen of the Underworld

Persephone is the Queen of the underworld and Wife of Hades, she is also the goddess of spring and was worshiped by her mothers side. Persephone, before her marriage, was referred to as Kore, the maiden. Although, after she was taken as a bride she is very rarely shown as the goddess of spring but rather her new title as Queen of the Underworld, many myths include her being in her courtroom organizing and ruling over the dead.

Persephone and Hades, To the underworld;

It had been a week since Persephone had seen Hades. She was wandering around in the meadow with a few of her Nymph friends, when the familiar dying of the grass popped up around her, she knew it was hades but she couldn't tell her friends that. She internally rolled her eyes, he usually followed her around beneath them. Sometimes he got too close and killed something, what she wasn’t expecting was for the ground beneath her to open up completely like it did when he came out. Instead of him emerging, she fell in, screaming in surprise. The ground above closed quickly and she landed on something soft. “Hades?! Hahahahaha” Persephone laughed as she realized Hades had been the one to catch her. “You probably scared the life out of the nymphs” Persephone laughed as she realized she had basically been kidnaped. “You wanted to see the underworld, and now I want to show you.” Hades ignored her pointing out the nymphs, surely they would be fine. “Really?! You're gonna take me to the underworld?!” Persephone was overjoyed, she had always wanted to see it. That day was amazing, Hades showed people the best parts of the underworld, from the river to the courtroom, even where the civilians resided. She met so many interesting people with exciting and unique stories. It was the best time she had in a while. She begged Hades to let her stay one day longer, and they stayed at his place while she showed her his kingdom. It was obvious how much Persephone loved the culture and the people of the underworld, she was playing with the kids in the street, and talking with the elders in the gardens.
