Hermes was the god of many things such as herds and flocks, travelers and hospitality, roads and trade, thievery and cunning, heralds and diplomacy, language and writing, athletic contests and gymnasiums, astronomy and astrology. Hermes was also known as the messenger of the gods, as he would be able to get to any of them and restate the message. He is depicted as handsome and athletic with winged shoes to help him travel, especially as the guide for the dead then Thanatos can't make it. His most famous myth is the one of him as a child, when he snuck out of his crib and stole the cattle herd of Apollon, proving the cunning personality of the child.
Family; Hermes parents are Zeus and Maia. His siblings are the many children of Zeus. His main known son is Pan of Penelopeia.
